Ms. Parker's Class 2023-2024

            Hello! My name is Rebecca Parker, and I am extremely excited to begin my first year teaching at the Arts Based School. I began my journey at ABS as a second grader, so teaching second grade at Arts Based feels like coming home. I graduated from Roanoke College in 2021 with a degree in elementary education, and just graduated with a Masters in Teaching. I worked as Kindergarten TA and a substitute at ABS, while enrolled in my Masters.

            In my time away from school I like to spend time with my friends, family, and my rescue dog Darla. I also like to read, explore the outdoors, and watch Netflix.  I am excited to see little minds grow and learn this year. I want to create a safe classroom where students can prosper academically, creatively, and become better versions of themselves.
