Ms. Mayers' Class 2023-2024

Welcome to Third Grade! My name is Ms. Mayers, and I am thrilled to have your child in my class this year. While this is my first year teaching at ABS, it feels like coming home. I was a student at ABS many years ago, and feel very lucky to be rejoining this wonderful community. I loved every minute of the five years that I spent here as a student, and I know that your child's skills, knowledge, and creativity will also flourish in this extraordinary environment.

 

Third grade is a year full of discovery, and we will study some of my very favorite topics together. Students will start working with Math fundamentals like multiplication and fractions. One of our highlight ELA projects will be writing personal narratives. Our Science curriculum is especially rich in third grade; we will study everything from the Solar System to plants and soil to the human body! Please take a look at the class supply list before school begins so you can make sure your child is all set to start the year. I know this will be a year to remember, and I want to thank students and parents alike for your investment in joyful learning.
