Lauren Alzamora - Dance Instructor, South Campus
Hi, Ms. Lauren here! I am thrilled to be a part of the amazing team at ABS South Campus. I started dancing at the age of 3 and hope to never stop!
This is my 3rd year teaching Dance at ABS South Campus, and it's so fun to be part of this growing school. As a former professional dancer with Ballet Hispanico and Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, I feel fortunate to bring over 15 years of worldwide performance and teaching experience to the classroom. I have also been a dedicated movement educator for the past 20 years and love sharing my knowledge of the human body through movement. Dance is such a versatile art form - it offers students more tools for connection and self expression. How special that our students get to learn about themselves and explore our wonderful world through movement! I also love collaborating with our incredible ABS teachers - it's inspiring to be a part of such a dedicated and talented team.
It's also lovely to be back in my "dance home" - I am a proud alum of UNCSA and the UNCSA Preparatory Dance Program (where I am also on faculty as a children's ballet instructor.) I recently earned my Bachelor of Arts in Dance from the LEAP Program at Saint Mary's College. My husband and I have 3 art-loving children who are ABS South students. I'm passionate about spreading a joy for dance, movement and everything that goes along with it - see you in the studio!
