Prepare for Take OFF!

Hi there!

I'm Jehn Boyd, and I’m thrilled to be your child’s 4th grade teacher this year! Over the past 8+ years, I’ve had the joy of teaching Kindergarten, 4th grade, 5th grade, and 6th grade, as well as serving as an EC (Exceptional Children) teacher in the Winston Salem Forsyth County School district. Each role has helped shape my passion for creating inclusive, engaging, and inspiring learning environments.

At the heart of my teaching philosophy is the belief that every child can succeed when given the right tools, encouragement, and environment. In our classroom, I bring a nurturing, structured, and data-informed approach to help students build confidence, master foundational skills, and prepare for success—not just on the North Carolina End-of-Grade (EOG) assessments, but in life.

As part of our Arts-Based school community, I’m especially excited to integrate the arts into our daily learning. Whether it’s using drama to explore historical events, music to reinforce math concepts, or visual arts to express ideas in writing, the arts will be woven into everything we do. This approach not only deepens understanding but also allows students to shine in creative and meaningful ways.

Outside of the classroom, I’m a proud mom! My children are proud students of ABS! Our home is full of energy, laughter, and love. We enjoy family movie nights, outdoor adventures, and baking sweet treats together.

I can’t wait to partner with you this year to make 4th grade unforgettable. Let’s make it a year full of learning, creativity, and lots of “aha!” moments!
