Welcome to 2nd Grade!

I am so excited to be joining your child on their education journey! Second grade is an exciting year and an important part of setting up future success in school. 

A little bit about myself…

I was born and raised in Asheville. I graduated from UNC-Asheville with a degree in Mass Communications. I moved to Winston-Salem in 2004. After a few years of not knowing what I wanted to be when I grew up (ha!), I went back to Salem College in 2006 to get my teaching license and master’s degree in teaching. I have also taught first grade and was even an ESL teacher for a year. Second grade is by far my favorite! I live in Winston-Salem with my two cats, Sybil and Edith. In my free time I love to read, be crafty, and go to trivia nights with friends.
