Ms.T Classroom
Hi! My name is Tayah Fray, but around school, I’m known as Ms. T, and I’m thrilled to be starting my fourth year teaching at The Arts-Based School!
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a minor in Deaf Studies from Winston-Salem State University. I am also currently pursuing my Master’s degree in STEM Education at North Carolina State University, where I’m continuing to grow as an educator and expand my knowledge of innovative, hands-on learning experiences for students.
I’m passionate about helping children grow not only academically, but also creatively and socially—and Arts-Based School is the perfect place to do just that!
I’m originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania—the City of Brotherly Love (Go Birds! 🦅)—but I moved to Raleigh, North Carolina, with my family at a young age and have proudly called North Carolina home ever since.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, shopping, trying new brunch spots, and being a proud dog mom to my adorable Yorkie and Maltese.
I’m so excited for another amazing year filled with learning, creativity, laughter, and growth. I can’t wait to partner with our wonderful families and watch each of my students shine!
