Ms. Jenn's Third Grade Class
Hi! I'm a third grade teacher at ABS. My son started ABS in Kindergarten and I loved it here so much that I just had to work here! I started out as a TA and then taught two years of First Grade at the South Campus. I am excited to teach Third Grade again this year at North Campus. I just finished up my Master of Teaching at UNC-Charlotte and I am a Salem Sister, Class of '07!
I was born in Winston-Salem and currently live here with my son (8th, ABS), my bonus daughter, (3rd, ABS), my wife, our four doodle pups, two kit-kats, and one bearded dragon! I also have an adult daughter, 23, who is a school counselor. I love the all that Winston-Salem has to offer: the arts, the close proximity to the mountains and the beach, the restaurants, the cute little coffee and tea joints, the live music scene and all fun and quirky local shops.
This past year has been one of revisiting old hobbies, like playing the piano, the guitar, and picking up a few new ones, like working with watercolors, oil pastels, and chalk pastels. I love to create with my hands; my craft bin is filled with half finished projects and supplies for future ideas! I celebrate the joy that everyday brings, inside the classroom and out!
