I'm entering my 7th year teaching at ABS. I started here as a TA in kinder, then spent three years teaching 3rd grade, two years teaching 4th, and now I've come back to 3rd and could not be more pumped. I live here in Winston Salem with my husband, Ryan, three of our four kids; Harli (8th grade at ABS), Taryn (10th grade at West Forsyth), and Rohen (12th grade at Atkins). My oldest child, Cade, recently graduated from NC State University, majoring in Chemistry, and has just moved to Michigan (with their spouse, Grayson) to begin a doctorate program at University of Michigan! I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Teaching Schools and Societies with an Advocacy Concentration from Salem College, Master of Arts in Special Education: Gifted, Creative, and Innovative Education from Western Carolina University and National Board certification in Literacy.
In my time away from school, I love all things beachy, visiting the mountains, and traveling with my friends and family. I love to sing, craft, and create! I'm always up for something fun, creative, and musical and I love to try new things. I'm looking forward to great adventures with you all this year!
