All About Mrs. Tate

Hi! My name is Ashley Tate and I am the Director of Operations and Student Services at The Arts Based School. This will be my 11th year in education. I went to NC State for my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education as well as my Masters Degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Literacy, and obtained my license as a Reading Specialist. I obtained my license in School Administration through the University of North Carolina Wilmington. I have been a 2nd grade teacher, 3rd grade teacher, K-8 Math and Reading Interventionist and now a member of the administration team. 

 

 

I live with my husband, Adam Tate, who also works at Arts Based as a 6th grade teacher. We enjoy going to ice hockey games as much as possible, Go Canes! We also enjoy hanging out with our friends and exploring new places! Our favorite places that we have traveled together are Colorado and Mexico.  We have a son named Kamden who is bringing all kinds of new excitement! My biggest hobby is going to escape rooms with my best friend. Currently we have gone to at least 25 escape rooms! We love a good challenge.
