HI! I'M Ms. Johnson
Welcome to 5th Grade!
Teaching is an absolute passion of mine! I am so excited to work with you and your child! It's going to be a year full of learning, FUN, and lots of adventures and I can't wait to see what the year has in store for us! I thought you might like to know a little bit about me.
I am engaged to be married to my best friend, Jimmy. We have a beautiful blended family, which includes four sons, one daughter, and four Grands. My grand's take up most of my free time, Oh how I love being their GiGi! However, some of the hobbies that I enjoy are cooking, traveling, and reading.
I have lived in Winston -Salem, North Carolina most of my life. However, I lived away from NC from 1999- 2008 in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Maryland. I am a graduate of Mount Tabor High School and graduated from Winston - Salem State University in 1996 & 2008. I am the oldest of three! My sisters are twins and one is a hairstylist and the other works for WSFCS.
This will be my 17-year teaching! I taught within Prince George County Schools, WSFCS, and most recently taught 5th grade for 7 years at Appalachian Academy at Middle Fork Lab School in Walkertown, NC. I absolutely love teaching 5th grade! It is my mission to instill a love for learning in my students and develop a desire to become lifelong learners. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. It is so important to keep communication open between us and I would love to talk to you whenever you feel the need I look forward to a great year together.
