Hellos and Goodbyes…
Tiffany Parris and Christi Barnes are leaving ABS.  We will certainly miss all our friends leaving and wish them well on their journeys.

Welcome to our new friends joining the party…

Brian Schmoyer will be teaching K-4 art.  Brian has worked as an arts educator for the last fourteen years both at public schools and Sawtooth School, most recently at Cash Elementary.  He is a creative digital artist with experience in animation and graphic design.

Amber Engel will be joining ABS as the middle school music teacher.  She has a bachelor’s degree and is licensed in K-12 music.  She’s the perfect match with a background in teaching band and musical theater.  She will be teaching grades 5-8 music.  Mary Boudreault will be teaching K-4 music.

As we rebuild the second-grade team, we’re excited to announce the dynamic duo of Missy Warren and Nicole Londono will be moving up from kindergarten to second grade.

That leaves an opening in kindergarten and some assistant positions.  If you know of a great teacher who would be a match for our school, please send them our way.

Special Visits
Educational research shows that the relationship between the student and his or her teacher is one of the most important factors in a student’s academic success.  This critical relationship is enhanced by our small class size and our educators’ commitment to children.  In support of the teacher/student relationship, our teachers will be offering a Special Visit before school begins.  A Special Visit is simply an opportunity for your child to meet his or her teacher in a familiar setting, a chance to learn a bit about the class and what to expect in the coming school year.  The Special Visit can be set up to occur in your home, here at the school, or on the phone.  This year’s scheduled days for Special Visits are August 15 and 16, 2019.  Your child’s teacher will be contacting you to schedule a 15-20 minute appointment.
